Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information JEE.co.in collects, how it is used and which third-party services are involved. It is written in plain language rather than legal jargon.
Overview
JEE.co.in is an independent informational website about the Joint Entrance Examination. You can read every page on this site without giving us any personal information, creating an account or signing in. We do not sell personal information.
Information you submit through the contact form
Our contact page has a form that asks for your name, your email address and your message. This information is submitted only when you choose to send the form, and we use it solely to read and, where appropriate, reply to your message, and to correct or improve our content. Please do not send sensitive personal information, identity documents, application credentials or payment details through the form — we have no need for them.
Formspree, our form-processing service
The contact form is processed by Formspree, a third-party form-handling service. When you submit the form, the details you entered are transmitted to Formspree, which delivers them to us and may retain them and related technical data, such as your IP address, for delivery, spam filtering and abuse prevention. Formspree's own processing is governed by its privacy policy, available at formspree.io. We do not operate our own mail server or database for form submissions.
Hosting and server logs
This website is served as static files by a web hosting provider. Like almost all web servers, the host may automatically record standard technical information about requests — such as IP address, the page requested, referring page, browser type and time of the request — in server logs used for security, troubleshooting and traffic measurement. We do not use these logs to identify individual visitors.
Cookies
The website does not set cookies for tracking or advertising as part of its normal operation. Your browser may store technical items needed to display pages, and if we add analytics or advertising in the future, those services may set their own cookies as described in the sections below. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the informational pages on this site will continue to work.
Analytics
We may add a website analytics service in the future to understand which pages are useful and how visitors find the site. If we do, that service may collect information such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and referral source, and may use cookies or similar technologies. We would use such information in aggregate form to improve content, not to identify individuals. This policy will be updated when any analytics service is actually in use.
Advertising and Google AdSense
The website does not currently display advertisements. We may introduce advertising in the future, including through Google AdSense or comparable advertising networks. When advertising is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies, device identifiers or similar technologies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this or other websites, and may collect information for measurement and fraud prevention. Where such personalised advertising is used, visitors can normally opt out through the advertising provider's own settings, such as Google's Ads Settings and the industry opt-out pages. This policy will be updated to name the services in use once advertising is introduced.
Affiliate links
In the future some pages may include affiliate links to books, courses or other study resources. If such links are added, we may earn a small commission when a purchase is made through them, at no additional cost to you, and the merchant will handle your transaction and personal data under its own privacy policy. See our disclaimer for more on this.
Third-party links
We link to official examination websites and other external resources for your convenience. Those websites are operated independently of us and have their own privacy practices, which you should review. We are not responsible for their content or the way they handle your information.
Data security
We keep the information we receive to a minimum, which is the strongest protection we can offer. The site is served over an encrypted connection where the hosting configuration supports it, and form submissions are transmitted to Formspree over a secure connection. No method of transmission or storage on the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
This website provides general educational information and is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Many of our readers are school students; we ask younger visitors to involve a parent or guardian before submitting any personal details through the contact form. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
How long we keep information
We retain contact-form messages only for as long as they are useful for responding to you and maintaining our content, after which they are deleted. You may ask us to delete a message you have sent by contacting us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the website develops — for example if analytics, advertising or affiliate links are introduced. The current version is always available on this page, and continued use of the website after a change means you accept the updated policy.
